A Modern Approach: Players to Travel Individually
In a break from tradition, Team India will not travel as a single unit. Instead, the BCCI has adopted a more flexible approach. All players will depart individually from their respective home cities. This plan offers greater logistical convenience for the squad members. It represents a modern and player-centric travel strategy.
The Key Date: September 4th Arrival in Dubai
The team will assemble in Dubai by a key deadline. All players will arrive in the UAE by the evening of September 4th. Captain Suryakumar Yadav will also leave for the event on that day. In addition, other key players will join him. Harshit Rana, Arshdeep Singh, and Kuldeep Yadav will also arrive. This trio is currently playing in the Duleep Trophy quarterfinals. They will fly to Dubai directly after their domestic commitments.
A senior BCCI official confirmed these details. He stated, “All the players will arrive in Dubai by September 4 evening.”
First Practice Session and Reserve Players
Following their arrival, the team will waste no time. The squad will hold its first nets session on September 5th. This important practice will take place at the prestigious ICC Academy. It will be the team’s first chance to train together. However, the four reserve players will not travel with the main squad. Washington Sundar, Prasidh Krishna, and Yashasvi Jaiswal will remain in India. They will stay on standby in case of any injuries.
India’s Crucial Opening Fixtures
